Hello Samsung Galaxy Note II

Assalammu'alakum readers!

Yes finally, after 21 long months, I finally return to Samsung. I had a Samsung Omnia Pro before I made the switch to Apple's iPhone 4. That transition was a no-brainer. It was super easy to operate the iPhone. So when I switch from something anyone can use to something that anyone can personalize and customize, it took me a few crawls before I could stand up and start walking.

I used my $100 voucher so it wasn't painful for my pockets. And I had to make a quick decision because the voucher has an expiry date. I initially wanted to wait for Samsung Galaxy S4, but figured it might take longer that anticipated.

I was really torn between S3 and Note II. Well, thinking I've got a lot of fancy stuff that I badly wanna doodle on, I decided on a Note II. I kept it untouched for 2 days. Yes, it was in its box, untouched, while I decide on using it or letting it rot until S4 comes.

Seeing my husband playing with his S3 killed me. Well, whether I use it or not, the price is still going to be at least a hundred less (if I were to resell or trade it in). So screw it, I ended up googling the must-have apps, and start jotting a list down. And no, I wont list it here unless you really want me too, reason being.. well there are so many bloggers and forumers out there who already wrote the list, my list will very likely be the same list anyway.

So I didnt play around until I have most of the apps in the phone. The only app that I used on my iPhone and cant seem to find it in PlayStore is a good reliable app to download my xin msn dramas. I havent finish searching though, but I would appreciate if someone can recommend an app or two. I often have people suggesting me apps that can download youtube videos - I dun want that. I dun youtube to watch my drama, I surf xinmsn.com to watch the dramas that I will always miss. (Can't blame me, I reach home at 10 if not later from Mon-Thurs, husband often date me out on Fridays, and weekends, often get caught up with something!) So I would love an app that can download those videos so I can watch them without killing my data usage.

Oh the only thing that got me so pissed with the phone is how it keeps wanting to sync every account I have. That is atrocious! I hated that. Old photos ended up appearing in the Gallery and I couldn't do anything to remove it. So I end up deleting the Gallery and downloaded another app to view my camera photos and screenshots. And it keeps asking if I wanna sync my FB as well, and I kept picking "Don't sync" everytime I log on. And it almost killed me because my google account is not my gmail account, and it kindda think that my gmail account is my google account and we (both me and my Note II) got confused and till date, I dunno which account it is using as the google account. Crap, right? I know.. And don't ask.. I am just as confused now~

Enough of my poor transition plight. Now, I believe there are so many Apple users who are converting to an Android base phone.

Well, 3 years ago when I was so happy with my Samsung phone, everyone was complaining about it not being user-friendly, and that Apple is the best yada yada yada.. Now look, everyone is using Samsung, aren't they?

And I often hear ppl crying saying it is still not user friendly, these people probably should just stick to iPhones, because anything that is not Apple are pretty much customizable and you are suppose to play around with it. There is always something new about the phone that you'll learn along the way.

The only thing I complained about then was that it wasn't touch screen then and it was frustrating to press the arrow key to get the "arrow" to go where I want it to click. Otherwise, it has been awesome. The music was always loud and clear, the photos were great. Then again, I am no longer an avid music listener, nor am I a photo geek. I am just a simple wife, who is contented by watching local chinese dramas on the go, and running around imparting knowledge to those who wants them. And most importantly, a great husband who is always there for me.

Speaking of which, I have to admit. I have became so lazy lately. A little tired, and I frantically dig out my phone, dial husband's number and request him to pick me up. You all know how I dread asking for help especially so for others to pick and ferry me around. It really changed after I became Mrs. So to those independent single ladies, be ready for a change when you upgrade. It wont be immediate, but it will gradually get to you. ;)

Someone might have just "cursed" and say "Upgrade? you mean Downgrade, right?"
Well, depends on how you see it really. Upgrade because you know have someone who is another you but not you. When you get married, it just means you are a unit. If someone talks about your partner, you get a strong impact and sometimes a tendency to defend and cut the crap, and when someone praised your partner, you tend to accept it as your credit as well. So basically, both your strengths and weaknesses are now shared.

Downgrade, maybe if you see it as having to prepare for two instead of just yourself. But I see it as sharing still. Now, if I cant finish my food, husband's there. (And that explains why my husband is expanding!) Haha!

And now, it's not just my room, it is our room. And yes, I often nag a lot about some stuff not being where it should be and all, but what's that compared to having someone be with you 24/7, sticking through when you're crazy, crying for no reason, mad, uttering words that makes no sense, laughing, drooling, snoring, and all the ugly long list. All I want to remember, is the smiles he bring me, all the random talks we talk about, the fun we have together, and the best memories we created, and I hope he does the same too.

Oh back to my phones, I still use my iPhone 4, no, we still use our iPhone 4, and I think I shall keep it till it is not usable anymore. ;)

Gotta run now,
Till I see you again,
*winkz*

Wassalam
