Baby M

Assalammu'alaikum family, friends and readers!

Mid July, we officialize Baby M to call me Mak and my husband Abah. It felt right and warm instantly. She is more real now with her loud cries/screams, her endless talking/complaining, her bossy milk time, and those cheeky smiles and laugh. Oh, and her cheeks and pouty lips! I'd die to kiss them!

Baby M, our Magical Baby. Our weekend baby, our happy pill. We are always looking forward to the weekend now that we have her, and we will miss her terribly when we can't have her that weekend. LOL.

Many relatives and friends thought we were pregnant and had this Baby M in secrecy.. And we would smile and wish it was true. Thank you for the prayers.

And so we bought her rompers, toys and whatever we feel that she needs.

(I can't believe I left this for a month! It is mid August already!)

And so.. Syawal has passed, when we were out, many asked where is Baby M. We made her mama come by from TPY to our place just because we missed her (of course we send them back home after).

And we are patiently waiting for our weekend with Baby M. Mak got you lots of new clothes! Dress up and we continue our Syawal visiting ok? I miss you so terribly!

Abah said, if I ever get pregnant whilst taking care of you, he would buy something special for us. Don't worry, you are deep in our hearts regardless if we ever get pregnant or not. You are our miracle baby, you are special, because you have two sets of families who love you so much!

So here's a little sneak peek to Baby M!

She said, "no photo taking pls" :)

The dresses we bought because we missed her! 2 weeks felt like forever!

A friend said we had too many of her photos considering we only had her for about 4 weekends to date. Oh wells, one can't help but to snap away when someone is just too cute, no?

Now, tomorrow seemed so far away! Oh hurry, hurry! I miss you!

Xoxo,
Baby M's Mak.

Weekend Babysitter

Assalammu'alaikum family and friends,

Ramadhan Mubarak! I was busy afterall, having 12 days "off", and returning to many work that is left undone right where I left it, had me coming to work before 9, and going home after 7. So, everything was crazy, right until a friend text me.

After many hurdles of not able to say yes, the day finally came! Well yup! I babysat her pretty baby for one night. Finally, after 5yrs, I finally get to care for a baby all over again. It was nothing but joy. I probably have had enough of baby qualms after taking care of 2 of my nieces from birth to 5, then to caring for Baby Jayden from 5months old to about 8months old but I was wrong, I was secretly yearning for more babies to care for. I was afraid, not of being incapable. I was afraid more of losing the joy of caring for a baby. I easily get myself overly attached to any baby I care for, likewise for my mother.

The late night waking to make milk, the cradle to make a baby sleep, the humming of calming songs, the baby talk, I miss all of it. And oh, I haven't lost my skill to bath a baby without the baby basin, neither have I lost the skill to cradle a baby to sleep in 5mins, ok fine I put Baby M to sleep in about 15min when she woke up abruptly due to a loud phone ring.

My friend decided to send her girl over on some weekends when she needed a break, and so I agreed in a heartbeat. Being a loving mother, she kept texting me to keep herself updated, I am sure she was missing her girl, and waking up when it was time for her milk.

It was a breeze caring for Baby M, the easiest baby next to my 2nd niece. :) They are both on par. They can lie on the mattress for many hours talking to herself and keeping herself occupied with her tiny fingers. Hardly cry to be carried, in fact, Baby M never cried during her stay with us. Scream, maybe, but short quick ones, the moment we talk to her, she was all smiles again.

Even my husband fell in love with her. And it was such a warm fizzly sight when I see my husband cooing baby M, and when he carried her, I was all over the world. Such a warm lovely feeling in my heart.

I am looking forward to another weekend to mother Baby M. Until then, we will all be missing you!

In due respect to her mother, none of her pictures will be published unless permission is granted.

And oh! JMYc is at Bazaar Geylang, you all!

Lots of love,
Wassaalam,
Jun
